• jLite (Java) API
  Instead of employing the User Interfaces, Application Programming Interface (API) can be used to initiate grid session can and submit jobs. This way you can directly implement access to BalticGrid resources in your applications.

• Glogin
  glogin and i2glogin are tools developed in Johannes Kepler University Linz to enable interactive communication between a grid job and the user interface (i2glogin is a spinoff of the original glogin tool).

• Auxiliary tools for files on storage elements
  Getting a message about a storage element going off-grid, one may wonder if he/she has any files on this storage element. A small bash script may become handy in this situation. The script should be run on an UI machine. It scans user's main directory on the balticgrid file system and retrieves the location of each file placement.
